Gazprom si China vor semna luna viitoare un contract urias pentru livrarea de gaze catre est!

Russia’s Gazprom, China close to gas agreement, hope to sign in May – report

Russia’s Gazprom and China are close to reaching a landmark gas deal and Moscow hopes the agreement will be signed next month, Itar-Tass news agency quoted Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich as saying on Wednesday. „Regarding Gazprom’s gas contract, the sides are close to agreement … The only issue remaining is … the price,” he said during a trip to China, adding that Gazprom planned to discuss contract details with its partners on Wednesday.

„We really hope that the contract will be signed in May.”

Talks on fulfillment of agreements reached by the leaders of Russia and China after their summit in the Russian Black Sea resort city of Sochi last February and preparations of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s forthcoming visit to China are high on agenda of a meeting between the co-chairs of the Russian-Chinese committee on energy cooperation that opened in the Chinese capital on Wednesday.

Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich heads the Russian delegation and Deputy Prime Minister of the Chinese State Council Zhang Gaoli heads the Chinese delegation.

The Chinese deputy prime minister said at the beginning of the meeting that now Russia and China „show highly dynamical development of relations of comprehensive strategic co-operation and partnership.”

Notably, he recalled the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping in Sochi and Russian leader’s upcoming visit in China due in May when Putin would visit the city of Shanghai where he would participate in a summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA).

„Such close contacts at the top level are unprecedented in the whole history of bilateral relations,” he noted.

Zhang Gaoli noted that energy co-operation between the two countries was developing productively.

„For the past year our countries have signed six intergovernmental agreements on energy co-operation and more than 20 agreements between Russian and Chinese companies,” he said, adding that „We succeeded to reach agreements on several strategically important joint projects, particularly we agreed on projects for higher Russian crude supplies in eastern and western directions and co-operation in implementing the Yamal LNG [liquefied natural gas] project,” the Russian news agency TASS reports.
